Bentonville City Council
A Bentonville City Council member serves as a legislative policymaker, fiscal trustee, and constituent advocate. Our primary duty is to pass responsible municipal ordinances, approve balanced budgets that deliver vital services, and set strategic zoning that guides city development. We oversee capital investments in essential infrastructure—roads, water, utilities, and emergency services—while ensuring every taxpayer dollar is spent intentionally. Most importantly, our duty is to listen to citizens, bridge the gap between residents and City Hall through complete transparency, and collaborate with staff to solve community challenges so Bentonville thrives for future generations.
I bring 25 years of executive business management in the CPG industry, an MBA, and two decades of active civic involvement. A 20-year resident raising six children with my wife Linsey, I served six years on the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, serve as President of the non-profit Supporters of Bentonville Orchestras, received the Spirit of Bentonville Award, coached youth sports for 19 years, and advocate for literacy via my online platform, One Man Book Club. Since joining City Council in May 2026, I have worked directly with department heads on infrastructure, planning, and budgeting. My background equips me to analyze complex budgets, collaborate effectively, and implement pragmatic, data-driven solutions.
My first priority is aggressively expanding our commercial tax base to fund proactive infrastructure ahead of growth. Everyone promises infrastructure first, but infrastructure follows revenue. When local retail and business development lag, per capita sales tax leaks to neighboring cities, placing an unfair burden on residential homeowners. I will accomplish this by partnering with economic leaders to proactively recruit high-value commercial enterprises that fit Bentonville’s character, generating sustainable sales tax revenues to widen roads, modernize utilities, and fund public safety without raising costs for families.
