Cooper Charter Township Fire & Rescue Millage Proposal
Shall Cooper Charter Township, Kalamazoo County, be authorized to levy annually a new additional millage in an amount not to exceed 2.0 mills ($2.00 per each $1,000 of taxable value) against all taxable property in the Township for a period of ten (10) years, 2026 through 2035, inclusive, for the purpose of operating, equipping, providing personnel, and purchasing for the fire department; for construction of a new building and facilities for the fire department; and any other purposes authorized by law for fire and rescue services? The estimate of the revenue the Township will collect in the first year (2026) if the millage is approved and levied by the Township is approximately $882,000.
