I want to help youth achieve success in this new era of education. A child can achieve anything with an education.
The School Board is dealing with 1) rapid enrollment growth that strains facilities, 2) teacher moral, 3) student safety, and 4) $120 million dollar construction bond. 1) rapid growth must be accommodated with appropriate teaching staff. We must change the current hiring structure to allow more qualified teachers in the district. 2) in order to increase teacher moral and allow them to teach we must develop a comprehensive discipline plan that address disruptive behavior. 3) we must create an environment that promotes unity, togetherness, and inclusiveness. 4). Construction monies must be monitored and appropriated with the most bang for our buck.
At the present time, all school safety plans should be reviewed and reapproved.
At the present, the school district can do a better job addressing students not college bound. I have a comprehensive plan to develop a apprenticeship program that address this need and focus on skills.
