AFL CIO,
Maine’s greatest challenges are affordability, access to health care, housing, and utility costs. Families need practical help finding providers, managing energy bills, and securing safe, attainable homes. We also need a stronger workforce and healthy communities so people of all ages can live, work, and remain in Maine.
In Senate District 3, I want to address rural access to health and behavioral-health care, the shortage of safe and affordable housing, and the high cost of electricity, heating, and other utilities. I will support practical solutions that strengthen local services, help people stay in their homes, and make it easier for businesses and families to build a future here.
I grew up in rural Maine, including time in a one-room cabin without electricity. That experience taught me resilience, independence, and how deeply housing, reliable utilities, and access to services can affect a family.
As a mental-health therapist, real-estate professional, and Doctor of Human Services, I bring a practical, evidence-based approach to public service. I will listen, bring people together, consider competing perspectives, and make clear, principled decisions when compromise is not possible.
My focus is healthier communities, attainable housing, and fair, reliable utility costs for Maine families—through practical, accountable use of public resources.
