State representatives create and amend state laws, pass an annual state budget, and redraw district lines every 10 years.

Qualifications
Clinical Pharmacist for 12 years. Served on homeowners association in Whitehall subdivision, volunteer regularly in Irmo and Chapin. I'm dealing with the same issues my neighbors are in terms of unaffordable and unaccountable health care, a lack of quality roads and infrastructure, and public services strained by unmanaged growth. I meet the constitutional requirements for this office as I am over 21 years of age and have lived in the area for many years.

I support ensuring voters have expanded early voting opportunities, including after dayshift working hours and on weekends. I also support no-excuse absentee voting. As a former poll manager, I am confident in the security of SC elections. We have printed ballots to verify voting machine tabulations, and I believe nonpartisan officials should remain in charge of our elections.
As a pharmacist, I see the consequences of inadequate health care access and coverage on a daily basis. I support the following methods to improve health care specifically for low-income South Carolinians: 1) Expand Medicaid immediately to prevent further closures of hospitals, urgent cares and long-term care facilities. 2) Improve reimbursement rates for pharmacies. 3) Expand free medical clinic services and locations, and 4) break up the insurance monopoly controlling every aspect of our medical care.
I support a complete halt to all data center construction at this time. Data centers should have a mutually beneficial relationship for South Carolinians without destroying our natural resources, draining our fresh water supply, or driving up energy costs. County and town councils should have to approve data centers, and in the absence of doing so, there should be default requirements set by the State. I would advocate for a tangible and measurable set of goals that data centers need to accomplish for South Carolina.
