I’ve spent over 25 years at Auburn Police Department before retiring as Chief of Police in 2013. This position provided me the ability to meet and work with the citizens of Auburn at the best and worst time of their lives. Also serving on the City Council for the last 12 years gives me a full working knowledge of how to best serve Auburn’s citizens.
Providing for the safety and welfare of Auburn’s citizens is a priority I continue to work towards on a daily basis. Making sure the Department of Public Safety has all the resources they need to continue the top notch services they provide.
Auburn is growing, which is good, however, the Council must make sure we have “smart growth.” Affordable housing, quality schools, recreational facilities, green space along with desirable commercial businesses are among needs citizens desire. While providing for these needs, growth of infrastructure, roadways and public services have to be a top priority.
Auburn has a competent finance department. The city government works to keep costs down while providing quality services.
Auburn has an excellent Public Safety Department. I will continue to work with the Council to provide the tools and training needed so the standard of services expected by Auburn’s citizens are met.
Infrastructure is a top priority for Auburn’s city government.
Auburn has one of the top school systems in the state. People move to Auburn because of the school system. The city council has a close working relationship with the school board which I expect to continue for the future.
Auburn should have a full understanding what data centers require before making any decisions on any new proposals.
All city council members have contact information posted on the city website. Citizens are free to call their city council representative at anytime.
