Parks and Recreation Millage Renewal PropositionThis millage is a renewal of the previously approved millage and will permit Otsego County to continue to levy up to 0.25 mills ($0.25 per $1,000.00 of taxable value) to provide funds for the operation and maintenance of all programs, parks, and facilities under the jurisdiction of the Otsego County Parks and Recreation Commission.Shall the County of Otsego be authorized to renew the previously authorized millage of up to 0.25 mills ($0.25 per $1,000.00 of taxable value) for a period of four (4) years, 2027 through 2030 inclusive, to provide funds for the operation and maintenance of all programs, parks, and facilities including, but not limited to, the Community Center, under the jurisdiction of the Otsego County Parks and Recreation Commission within Otsego County, Michigan?If approved and levied in its entirety, this millage would raise an estimated $453,512 in the first year of levy (2027).By law, the City of Gaylord Downtown Development Authority (DDA) may capture a portion of the County's millage revenue generated from properties located within the DDA district to the extent provided in its tax increment financing plan and any applicable statutory exemptions or optout provisions.
