Candidate For Office
Incumbent state representative running for re-election
In addition to previous experience serving on my local school board, I am currently completing my second term as state representative.
First, make sure that the education fund is only covering true education expenses. Things like universal free meals and mental health supports should come from the general fund.
Second, re-start the state's school construction program - our facilities are dilapidated, and towns/districts can't undertake such big projects without assistance.
Third, I support the creation and expansion of CESAs that is underway - shared services should help to bend the cost curve.
Fourth, and finally, the long-term goal should be the development of regional high school/tech centers.
Expand state support for vetted projects through funding for infrastructure like sewer and water.
