Summit Township Fire and Police Service Millage Renewal
It is proposed that the current police and fire millage of 0.9623 mills be renewed. Voters approved this millage in 2019. Summit Township is levying this millage to provide funding for police, fire, and emergency services and equipment. Each year, this millage will cost you about $48.00 for each $50,000 of your taxable real and personal property. The millage will last from 2027 to 2036. Approximately $900,000 would be raised in the first year that the millage is levied. Should this proposed millage renewal be approved?
