I am running for Clerk because the Clerk’s Office is the gateway to our justice system and, for many residents, the first face of justice they encounter. After more than a decade serving in the Orange County Clerk’s Office, I know how this office impacts people every day. As General Counsel, I oversee legal and policy issues affecting court operations and public records. My experience in legal aid, local government, nonprofit leadership, and private practice has prepared me to ensure the Clerk’s Office remains accessible, accountable, and responsive. I have the experience, leadership, and institutional knowledge to lead on day one and continue delivering excellent service to the people of Orange County.
As Clerk, I will ensure confidential information is protected through strong security practices, regular reviews of policies and procedures, and ongoing staff training. I will also improve access to public records and court services by streamlining processes, modernizing record management systems, and educating residents about their procedural rights to obtain non-exempt records. The constitutional office of Clerk of Court carries a ministerial obligation to protect sensitive information, maintain accurate records, and to provide reliable public access to the community, and I will ensure all three of these duties are carried out effectively and in accordance with Florida law.
Many people interact with the court system during some of the most stressful moments of their lives. Technology should make those interactions easier, not create additional barriers. As Clerk, I will expand online services, improve public access to court records and information, and implement secure, user-friendly technology that allows residents to complete tasks quickly and conveniently. I will modernize internal operations to improve efficiency, reduce delays, and allow staff to focus on serving the public. I also support implementing an opt-in text and email notification system to remind residents of court hearings, payment deadlines, compliance requirements, and other important Clerk communications.
As Clerk, I will develop responsible, data-driven budgets that align resources with the services our community depends on while complying with Florida law and the oversight of the Florida Clerks of Court Operations Corporation. I am committed to transparent financial management through clear reporting, open communication of budget priorities, and careful stewardship of public funds. I will regularly evaluate operations to identify efficiencies, eliminate unnecessary costs, and invest in technology and process improvements that strengthen customer service and court operations. My goal is to ensure every public dollar is used responsibly to protect essential court services, improve access to justice, and deliver the highest level of service.

I am running for Orange County Clerk of the Courts because it is a vital public service office responsible for court records, financial accountability, and government transparency. I bring more than 30 years of leadership experience in government, business, technology, finance, and customer service. As Orange County Property Appraiser from 2012–2020, I led one of Central Florida’s largest constitutional offices, overseeing employees, multimillion-dollar budgets, and public records. Under my leadership, the office earned national recognition for innovation, efficiency, technology modernization, and exceptional customer service.
Protecting sensitive information while maintaining public access is a core responsibility of the Clerk’s Office. I will invest in strong cybersecurity, secure technology infrastructure, employee training, and data protection protocols to safeguard court records and financial information. At the same time, I will expand secure online services that allow residents, businesses, attorneys, and other users to efficiently access public records and services while fully complying with legal privacy requirements.
Technology should make government more accessible, efficient, and responsive. I will expand digital services for court filings, payments, scheduling, public records access, and case information. Drawing on my experience implementing award-winning technology initiatives as Orange County Property Appraiser, I will streamline workflows, reduce delays, improve customer service, and leverage emerging technologies to increase efficiency while maintaining security and reliability.
Fiscal responsibility and transparency will remain top priorities. As Orange County Property Appraiser, I maintained zero audit findings, operated under budget, and implemented practices that protected taxpayer resources. As Clerk, I will carefully oversee expenditures, pursue operational efficiencies, maintain strong financial controls, and provide transparent reporting so taxpayers can have confidence that public funds are managed responsibly, efficiently, and with full accountability.

I am running because the Orange County Clerk's Office shaped my career in public service, and I want to continue building on the proud legacy established by the dedicated leaders and employees who have served our community for decades. I spent nearly 20 years in the Clerk's Information Technology Division supporting virtually every area of the organization before spending more than five years at Tyler Technologies helping courts nationwide modernize operations through the same Enterprise Justice case management system used in Orange County today. My experience combines firsthand institutional knowledge, executive technology leadership, and a commitment to exceptional customer service, fiscal responsibility, and responsible innovation.
Protecting court records and maintaining public trust are fundamental responsibilities of the Clerk. As a transformational leader, I will responsibly assess our operations, identify opportunities for improvement, strengthen cybersecurity, ensure compliance with Florida law, and invest in employee training to safeguard sensitive information. I will also expand secure digital services and introduce mobile Clerk services to bring essential services directly into underserved communities, improving accessibility and convenience for residents who may face transportation or other barriers. My goal is to balance security, transparency, accessibility, and exceptional customer service.
I will maximize the capabilities of the Clerk's existing technology investments while improving digital services, streamlining workflows, and using data to make informed decisions. My experience helping courts across the country modernize operations has shown me how technology can improve efficiency, reduce delays, strengthen public access, and enhance customer service. I support the responsible use of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, where they improve accuracy, accessibility, cybersecurity, transparency, and operational effectiveness while keeping people at the center of public service.
The Clerk has a responsibility to manage public resources wisely while delivering high-quality service. I will focus on maximizing existing technology investments before pursuing new spending, improving operational efficiency, using data to guide decisions, and evaluating programs based on measurable results. I also believe transparency builds public confidence. I will promote clear reporting, open communication, and accountability so residents understand how resources are being managed and how the Clerk's Office is serving the community.
