The Massachusetts State Senate has 40 members, with each Senator elected to represent a district consisting of approximately 159,000 Massachusetts residents. As required by the Massachusetts Constitution, the Senate meets every 72 hours, year-round, in either formal or informal session to consider statewide legislation. Senators serve two-year terms, without term limits. There is not any current legestlation that I am aware of that is written in a way that addresses the rising costs. More taxes do not help.
The state has created unfunded mandates that increase the costs to the citizens. Remove the unfunded mandates.
If we stop funding those here illegally by providing them with free or subsidized healthcare and if we audit the MassHealth program for waste and fraud, healthcare will be more affordable for all citizens.
Stop spending millions on non citizens.
If there is a federal election on the ballot, I would prefer to follow the federal agents. Election fraud is present and there is very little oversight or accountability applied by our state.
There are cities that want to and do allow non citizens to vote and I completely disagree with that position.
I am fully on board with protecting the legal and safety rights of legal immigrants and their families.
