As State Representative, I would support legislation(s) that will expand on the current Affordable Homes Act and ensure extended housing affordability protection for low income families.
With regard to Childcare, I would support legislation(s) that expand childcare tax credit for low -income families and support employers who sponsors childcare with tax credit.
As State Representative, the best approach to balance energy affordability with the state's clean energy goals is to tax corporations that are engaging in adverse practice leading to adverse actions with the environment. I would propose using corporate tax to fund critical program that can assist families with energy affordability.
I would further support providing tax incentives to families that choose to opt in to coverage that decrease environmental impact, an example is solar coverage.
I would propose introducing oversight measures to increase transparency in the medical insurance industry with regard to coverage.
I would also propose measures that provides guideline that can assist in decreasing the cost of prescriptions, hospital stays, and routine medical visit.
I believe that the state will need to work with municipalities to determine the best financial approach that is sustainable and can address the basic needs of the municipalities.
This requires further insight and collaboration between both the State and municipalities.
The State may consider establishing financial funds or programs that can assist municipalities, but this will require ongoing conversations between the parties to determine what is an amicable solution to this complex challenge.
As State Representative, I would propose enacting safeguard measures that will protect election workers.
I would further propose introducing legislation(s) that would regulate the overall voting system whilst ensuring that only authorized personnel have access to confidential information pertaining to the electoral votes.
I plan to enact protective measures that safeguard immigrants and their family from threats of deportation by ICE.
I further plan to support legislation that would prevent law enforcement from inquiring about immigration status and I also plan to support programs that aims to provide financial incentives to legal aid that will provide pro - bono services towards immigrants and their families.
