I would address inequality by quickly raising the federal minimum wage from $7.25 to about $15 an hour—a livable level—and then tying it to inflation. Raising the minimum wage most strongly benefits lower-income workers, helping families afford housing, energy, food, healthcare, and childcare, handle emergencies, and save.
On healthcare, I support an immediate hybrid of Medicare for All and private insurance competition across state lines, with protections for preexisting conditions. I would also allow Americans to buy safe, lower-cost prescription drugs from licensed Canadian pharmacies and act against pharmaceutical-company and pharmacy benefit manager practices that drive up costs.
I would suspend ICE operations unless every participating officer has a working body camera and has been trained in standardized, humane enforcement procedures. I would protect from deportation undocumented workers who were already in the country before the recent surge in arrivals. Those who arrived during that surge and lack a viable asylum claim would receive a fixed period to self-deport, with an opportunity to apply to return legally. After that period, those who remain without a lawful claim could be removed only through humane, accountable, video-recorded procedures. I would not fund detention facilities, unless they are part of this framework and include safe conditions and prompt hearings.
I would support federal legislation requiring voters to present valid photo identification and prohibiting ballot harvesting, while ensuring that eligible voters can obtain acceptable identification without unreasonable cost or difficulty.
Human-induced climate change is real, measurable, and supported by overwhelming evidence. As a physicist and founder of an environmental monitoring company with systems deployed from the Arctic to Antarctica, I have worked directly with this data. Policy should be grounded in evidence, transparency, and scientific integrity—not politics or unsupported claims. I support practical, results-driven investment in cleaner energy and technologies that reduce environmental harm, create jobs, and lower long-term energy costs without undermining economic stability. Public funds and environmental policies should be accountable, effective, and based on verifiable results.
AI has already been weaponized and may eventually develop capabilities that threaten humanity and the broader ecosystem. We must therefore treat AI as a tool to augment human judgment and machines—not replace human responsibility. Like every powerful technology, it can be used to achieve great things, but also to enable atrocities and unnecessary wars. All AI systems should be transparent, independently auditable, and subject to strict safeguards against surveillance, discrimination, misinformation, and unaccountable decisions in law enforcement, incarceration, contracting, and defense. AI development should pursue not only greater intelligence, but also greater empathy toward human beings and all life on Earth.
I would immediately and repeatedly press to end the war in Iran and reassert Congress’s constitutional authority over decisions to initiate or continue future wars. I would also draft or cosponsor legislation and constitutional amendments aimed at overturning Citizens United and establishing term limits for members of the House and Senate. Finally, I would support rigorous congressional oversight, subpoenas, investigations, and, where warranted, impeachment of any impeachable official who acts outside the lawful bounds of office.
