Under Republican rule, working families — especially working moms — have been asked to shoulder the cost of healthcare cuts, expensive tariffs, and worsening inflation, all while funding more tax cuts for the Epstein Class. The cost of living is higher than ever, core government services have been decimated, and most households can no longer afford the basics.
When Democrats retake the House, we will vote to reverse Republicans' cuts to Medicaid, Medicare, and food assistance. We will vote to restore the healthcare tax credit. We will vote to slash home energy costs and build housing priced for people, not private equity. And we will vote to guarantee quality, affordable childcare for every family.
This regime has turned ICE into the paramilitary arm of the Republican Party. Reversing that damage will require sweeping, decisive action.
Arbitrary arrest quotas must be eliminated. Masks must come off. Roving patrols must end, judicial warrants must be secured before entering private property, and enforcement must be prohibited at sensitive locations like schools and places of worship.
Going forward, we have to pursue an immigration policy that is rooted in humanity, secures our borders, rewards work, and reduces costs. Enacting the American Dream and Promise Act and the Farm Workforce Modernization Act would mark major steps toward that goal — granting a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers, TPS holders, and agricultural workers.
House Democrats are fighting back against Republican voter suppression with every tool we have.
We’re working with our partners to challenge election interference and racial gerrymandering in the courts, and we’re coordinating voter protection resources across the country — investing early in programs that monitor election administration, train poll observers, conduct security exercises with key states, and manage ballot‑curing operations before and after Election Day.
But we know that holding the line isn’t enough. When Democrats retake the House, a top priority will be restoring the heart of the Voting Rights Act through the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act.
In Revere, I’ve seen what climate change means for my neighbors: harsher, deadlier, more frequent floods. And as a mom, I recognize we are quickly running out of time to do right by future generations.
That's why I led every House Democrat in voting against the clean energy cuts and public land leases in Republicans’ Big Ugly Bill. In the Majority, we will vote to restore that funding and reverse their handouts to fossil fuel companies.
America must lead the global charge toward clean energy. Getting fossil fuel extremists out of power will mean slamming the brakes on climate change while lowering costs and creating millions of good-paying jobs for working families.
My priority in crafting AI policy continues to be preventing job losses and protecting kids from harm. I was particularly proud to help enact the TAKE IT DOWN Act, which criminalizes the publication of non-consensual intimate imagery, including deepfakes created with AI.
I’m also working to guard against government misuse of AI. Companies like Flock and Palantir pose particularly urgent threats as they enable Trump’s violent and unconstitutional actions.
While Republicans reciprocate by deferring to these companies’ policy demands — even seeking to ban states from regulating AI at all — Democrats have convened a commission to develop a comprehensive framework for protecting the American people from out-of-control AI surveillance.

Under Republican control, the House of Representatives has completely abandoned even its most basic oversight responsibilities. The Trump regime has been allowed to impose tariffs, commit violence against innocent people, and take us to war without a word from the current majority.

I believe in a "Good Life Economy," or El Buen Vivir, as Indigenous communities in Latin America call it: a society where everyone has the right to affordable housing, healthcare, education, and time for family.
Right now, the system works for the billionaire class and fails working people. Too many families in Massachusetts' 5th District live paycheck to paycheck while corporations rig the rules in their favor. We need an economy that enables working people to actually have a good life by raising wages, building affordable housing, and lowering healthcare and childcare costs. We need to invest in renewable energy and and redirect billions from the war machine into sustainable food production and good-paying jobs at home.
One of our main campaign pillars is abolishing ICE and passing 21st-century immigration reform. As difficult as it is to protect our neighbors from ICE's reign of terror, we need to get to the root of the problem by replacing our broken immigration system with one rooted in humanity, not cruelty.
When I say "Abolish ICE," I mean: holding ICE agents accountable for civil rights violations, abolishing ICE as a federal agency, creating a humane pathway to citizenship, protecting DREAMers, expanding due process and legal representation, limiting detention to exceptional circumstances, dramatically reducing funding for detention and deportation and redirecting those resources to schools, healthcare, housing, and immigrant legal services.
The House should take concrete action to protect free and fair elections by restoring voting rights, ending gerrymandering, and advancing policy that makes it easier to vote. It must overturn Citizens United and expand publicly funded elections so the working class—not the donor class—is the foundation of our campaigns. Congress should ban members from trading individual stocks, strengthen ethics and conflict-of-interest rules, invest in secure election infrastructure, and protect election workers from intimidation and violence, and ensure every vote is counted accurately and efficiently.
The climate crisis is real, human-made, and demands bold action. I support a federal green jobs program that invests in carbon-free energy technology while strengthening our communities. We must rapidly transition away from fossil fuels by ending subsidies for the fossil fuel industry and investing in renewable energy, modern electric infrastructure, clean public transit, energy-efficient buildings, and climate resilience. This must be a just transition that retrains workers and creates living-wage, union jobs. We must also protect our public lands, clean water, and biodiversity while building a sustainable economy that leaves no one behind.
Artificial intelligence should never be used to undermine constitutional rights, concentrate power, or replace democratic accountability. Congress must protect privacy and civil liberties by prohibiting AI from enabling mass surveillance, collecting personal data, or making decisions that affect people's rights and freedoms. Federal agencies should be required to disclose when AI is used and explain how it informs decisions. AI must not determine who is stopped, arrested, detained, sentenced, or released without meaningful human oversight. Congress should also prohibit AI from making decisions involving lethal force and exercise robust oversight of its use in defense.
The House must serve as a real check on executive and judicial power by enforcing strong oversight and accountability. I support codifying the Emoluments Clauses, expanding the Office of Government Ethics with subpoena power and independent enforcement authority, and holding any official—including the President—accountable through impeachment when they violate the public trust. I also support Supreme Court reform by establishing 18-year term limits, adopting enforceable ethics rules, and expanding the Court to restore balance. No branch of government is above accountability.

The inequality gap and rising cost of living demand the same scale of response FDR brought with the New Deal. That's why I support creating a safety net that guarantees every American affordable housing, energy, healthcare, childcare, education, nutritious food, and a job.
In office, I will fight to raise the minimum wage, lower the cost of daily living, and stop the corporate price gouging on housing, groceries, and utilities. I will support modernizing American industries, reviving the middle class, and strengthening unions. And I will push to reform our tax system so it is finally fair, and enforce the anti-monopoly laws needed to protect small businesses and startups from being crushed by corporate power.
I support a compassionate and just immigration system. Our current immigration system is broken, and it’s time to fix it so it reflects both our values and our history.
We must keep families together and establish a clear and just path to citizenship for long-term residents who have built their lives here. Immigrants deserve protection from abuse, discrimination, and inhumane treatment, and they deserve a system that treats them with dignity. We must uphold due process and equal protection under the law. Agencies like ICE, which have terrorized immigrant communities, detained students, and killed Americans, must be defunded, abolished, and replaced with agencies that treat immigrants with the dignity and respect they deserve.
We need systemic campaign finance reform that breaks the grip of big money on our politics, and election reforms that make participation accessible to every voter. I support banning corporate money in politics, publishing where every campaign dollar comes from, and making it easier for working families to participate in our democracy. We must eliminate corporate and foreign PAC dominance, overturn Citizens United, and ban insider trading in Congress. I support automatic voter registration, ranked voting, the public financing of elections, and term limits for both members of Congress and Supreme Court justices. I also believe Election Day should be a federal holiday so every citizen can vote without barriers.
I support a strong national transition to clean and renewable energy that reduces emissions and strengthens our economy. This means policies that prioritize the sustainability of our environmental resources and public lands. It's time to end federal subsidies for oil and gas companies that are contributing to the pollution and destruction of our land, and invest those resources in sustainable technologies and clean energy innovation. By doing so, we can create high-paying green jobs that rebuild our infrastructure and prepare our communities for a sustainable future.
The problem with AI is that it is going unchecked while being controlled by big tech companies whose only purpose is to centralize power in their hands. Once in office, I will create a path forward to regulate AI and make sure it benefits everyone. In the federal government specifically, that means strict limits on how agencies collect and use our personal data, an end to unaccountable AI in law enforcement, and real oversight of AI in government contracting and defense. Broadly, I will fight to ensure AI is environmentally clean, safe, transparent, free from bias, and that it creates jobs rather than killing them. I will do this hand-in-hand with experts who aren't beholden to private interests over the public good.
To ensure the House of Representatives duly exercises its constitutional duties to check executive and judicial action, we must first break the influence of the corporate and foreign interests that currently control it. Only then can Congress effectively exercise its Article I authority, and it has several tools at its disposal.
In Congress, I will condition agency funding on constitutional compliance, use subpoena power to investigate the other branches' conduct, and rein in executive overreach, including invoking the War Powers Resolution to stop a president from taking illegal military action. I will also restore judicial accountability by passing a binding Supreme Court code of ethics and instituting term limits for justices.
