The St. Augustine Port, Waterway, and Beach District Board is an independent taxing district and governing body in St. Johns County, Florida. Board members are responsible for managing local maritime issues, improving marine infrastructure, protecting fragile coastal dunes, and maintaining the St. Augustine Inlet. 4 year term; unsalaried.

What motivated you to run for this office?
What practical training and experience qualify you for this position?
What do you see as the two most pressing issues for this agency and how do you propose to address them?
Northeast Florida is experiencing unprecedented growth. What challenges and opportunities does that growth present in managing this agency?
I want to contribute to the betterment of our Community. I have always been an active volunteer in our community. My volunteer service has been with a number of community organizations. As a lifelong Floridian, I have benefited from all that Florida has to offer including our beaches and waterways. My family has enjoyed boating and fishing in both North Florida and the Florida Keys. I think maintaining safe access to our beaches and waterways is important to our community.
I am a Certified Public Accountant. I spent most of my professional career as the Chief Financial Officer of Flagler Hospital/Flagler Healthcare System. My experience includes financial reporting, budgeting, investment management, human resources, fundraising, contract negotiation, auditing, compliance, capital access and investor relations.

The District will need to continue to work in a collaborative way with other agencies on various projects. These projects include dredging, channel marker replacement, debris removal, derelict boat removal and dune restoration.

St. Johns County Sheriff's Department, City of St. Augustine Fire Department and Harbormaster, St. Johns County Commission, Florida Inland Naviagtion District, St Johns County Parks and Recreation.
