I earned Master’s degrees in Business Management & Environmental Science and International Finance from the University of St Andrews.
Professionally, I’ve built my career across multiple industries, including finance, technology, real estate, and consumer packaged goods. I've managed investments, led international business operations, and today oversee an $80M+ sales portfolio for nationally recognized manufacturers, where I develop long-term strategies, manage budgets, negotiate with diverse stakeholders, and make data-driven decisions. Throughout my career I have developed the financial, strategic, and leadership experience needed to make thoughtful, data-driven decisions on behalf of our community.
The first is responsible growth or rather lack thereof. Growth itself isn't necessarily the problem, but poorly planned growth is. Infrastructure, schools, public safety, and transportation must keep pace before any new development is approved.
The second is creating greater economic opportunity while diversifying our tax base. Today, only 13% of this county's ad valorem tax revenue comes from non-residential property, compared with roughly 35% statewide. We should actively recruit high-quality employers from technology, healthcare, advanced manufacturing, and professional services industries to create better-paying jobs, broaden our commercial tax base, reduce pressure on homeowners, and build a stronger, more resilient local economy.
My education and professional background have given me the skills to serve effectively by evaluating complex issues, managing budgets, and making informed decisions, but my character and values define how I will serve. I have lived in St Johns County almost my entire life and I care deeply about preserving our quality of life, protecting our natural resources, and ensuring our community remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family. My morals and values are non-negotiable. I believe in integrity, independence, accountability, and always putting residents first, ahead of special interests.
Every decision I make will be guided by one question: What is best for the people of St Johns County?
Growth presents both challenges and opportunities, but it must be managed responsibly. The greatest challenge is ensuring infrastructure, schools, public safety, transportation, and water resources keep pace, so growth doesn't diminish our quality of life. The greatest opportunity is attracting high-quality employers in technology, healthcare, advanced and precision manufacturing, and professional services. Expanding our commercial and industrial tax base will create better-paying jobs, reduce reliance on residential property taxes, and build a stronger, more resilient economy that benefits our existing residents.
My philosophy is that any future growth should be intentional, balanced, and benefit the people who already call this county home. We must shift from relying primarily on residential development to attracting high-quality businesses that create high-paying jobs, strengthen our local economy, and broaden our commercial tax base. At the same time, we must ensure that infrastructure keeps pace with any new development so that growth never comes at the expense of our quality of life. Every decision should answer one question: Will this make St Johns County a better place to live, work, and raise a family? That's the standard that I'll use to make decisions as your County Commissioner.

Education: MBA and BA in Economics. PMP (Project Management Professional cert.) Scholarship athlete, Co-captain of Rutgers Football Team; Dean's List.
Experience: As a special agent with the FBI, I investigated white collar crime, complex financial crimes, fraud and public corruption. I took on additional responsibilities and put myself in harm's way as a SWAT Team Operator (Breacher/Medic), apprehending child predators, an ISIS loyalist and other violent criminals. Also, as a Federal Air Marshal, I was on the Global Response Team (an elite unit formed for the highest risk missions). Later, I became an instructor at the FAMS Training Center. I am a small business owner (out of state, professionally managed - so there are no conflicts).
1. My top issue is the reckless overdevelopment that has negatively impacted quality of life. Traffic congestion is the #1 complaint, as 30% of our roads are over 100% capacity. Overcrowded schools have resulted in hundreds of portable classrooms which are unsafe. Our schools have even lost their #1 statewide ranking.
2. My other top issue is wasteful spending and a bloated budget that is burdening residents with high taxes. My predecessor put three taxes on the ballot; it's time to focus on eliminating waste. As the only commission candidate who qualified via petition, and going door-to-door, I've talked to well over 4,000 residents, and I've learned that these two issues are the reasons many residents are actually leaving the county.

The challenges of the reckless growth are the impacts on traffic, schools and quality of life, described above. But the greatest challenges of all may be the conflicts of interest and policies in place that perpetuate the problem. Commissioners are legally able to accept donations to their campaigns from developers and vote on their projects. This is why I am not accepting developer donations.
The Ponzie-like scheme that perpetuates the problem was the structuring of the repayment of the county's $120M bond debt for parks which relies on future impact fees from more development.
Opportunities are to diversify our employer base in areas that are already zoned for industrial and commercial uses while protecting residential neighborhoods.
I'll explain my answer by describing what I'll do as a commissioner to address these challenges. I will not approve any developments that would add more cars to overcapacity roads. I will require commercial developers to pay the transportation concurrency fees that they've been exempted from - so that the burden is on them, not taxpayers, to pay for the roads they use. I'll require full conflict-of-interest disclosure before any vote. Any future project must require developers to complete the infrastructure required so that taxpayers are not subsidizing development. I'll continue to fight Tallahassee takeover of our home rule that allows development to be fast-tracked without local oversight. I fought SB 354 and will fight it again.
