Oklahoma Commissioner Of Labor
The Oklahoma Commissioner of Labor is an elected position in the Oklahoma state government. The goal of the Oklahoma Department of Labor is to foster, promote, and develop the welfare of the wage earners of this state, improve working conditions, and advance opportunities for profitable employment. The Labor Commissioner is responsible for supervising the administration of all state laws relating to labor and workplace safety and gathers and publishes information about the workforce of Oklahoma.The Labor Commissioner serves as four-year term that runs concurrent with that of the Governor of Oklahoma.As Oklahoma is a closed primary state, only voters registered in the candidates' party will cast ballots in this runoff primary election. The winner of the run-off election will appear on the ballot for the general election in November.
