Shall the tax limitation upon the total amount of general ad valorem taxes imposed upon real and tangible personal property for all purposes in any one year under Article IX, section 6 of the Michigan Constitution in the County of Crawford, Michigan, be increased in the County of Crawford by 0.1750 mills (which is equal to $0.1750 per $1,000 of taxable value of all such property) for a period of six (6) years, 2026 through 2031, inclusive, for the purpose of providing funds for all his historical preservation purposes, which would include, but not be limited to, provision of museum facilities and services, museum facilities and collection maintenance, preservation, display, acquisition, education, and other historic preservation costs, and shall the County of Crawford be authorized to levy such a millage for said purposes? The amount of revenue the County will collect if that millage is approved and levied by the County in the first year is estimated to be $137,834. The proposed millage is a new additional millage, and, to the extent required by law, a portion of the revenue from which is expected to be captured and dispersed to the Crawford County Brownfield Redevelopment Authority and such other or fewer local units of government as the County Board of Commissioners determines appropriate.
