MI AC Leighton Township Fire Department Millage Proposal
Shall the total tax rate limitation on general ad valorem taxes which may be imposed on taxable property within Leighton Township under Article IX, Section 6 of the Michigan Constitution be increased by 0.50 mills($0.50 per $1,000 of taxable value), and shall the Township levy this new additional millage annually for five (5) years, 2026 through 2030, inclusive, to provide funds for general operating and capital expenses of the Leighton Township Fire Department thereby raising an estimated $224,500 in the first year of the levy?
