BLISSFIELD TOWNSHIP ROAD MILLAGE RENEWAL PROPOSAL
Shall the previously authorized increase in tax limitation on all taxable property in Blissfield Township, Lenawee County, that expires in 2026 be renewed and the Township be authorized to levy a millage annually in an amount not to exceed 1.4737 mills ($1.4737 per each $1,000 of taxable value) against all taxable property in the Township for a period of four (4) years, 2027 through 2030, inclusive, for the purpose of road maintenance and improvement? The estimate of the revenue the Township will collect in the first year (2027) if the millage is approved and levied by the Township is approximately $269,000. A portion of the revenue collected may be subject to capture by the Village of Blissfield Downtown Development Authority.
