CLINTON FIRE DEPARTMENT MILLAGE RENEWALPROPOSAL
Shall the Township of Clinton, Lenawee County, Michigan, for the purpose of fire department operation, maintenance and improvement, establish and authorize the renewed millage levy not to exceed 1.6 mills on taxable value of property, including property subject to Industrial Facilities Exemption Certificate (IFT) located in the Township of Clinton ($1.60 per $1,000 taxable value), for a period of eight years from 2028 through 2035 inclusive, and when necessary to do so, exceed the fifteen (15) mill limitation on general ad valorem taxes imposed under the Michigan Constitution-Article IX, Section 6, which will raise in the first year of the levy an estimated $257,600.
