Bedford Township Fire Protection Renewal Proposal
Shall the annual tax rate limitation imposed under Article IX, Section 6 of the Michigan Constitution continue to be levied by up to 1.7150 mills, (which is a renewal for a total of $1.7150 per $1,000.00 of taxable value as reduced by the Headlee rollback), upon the taxable real and tangible personal property within the Township of Bedford, Monroe County, Michigan, for a period of six (6) years from 2027 through 2032 inclusive, for the purpose of providing funds to the Bedford Township Fire Department to be used for general operations including continuation of Advanced Life Support Services, capital expenditures, and for maintenance or improvements to Fire Department buildings and equipment? The estimated revenue for the first year of the levy, if the proposition is approved, shall be approximately $2,710,453.00.
