Candidate Information I've spend 30 plus years working as a Public Safety fields retiring from the Grand Haven Department of Public Safety in 2022 as a Sergeant. In addition to that I was a Captain with the Crockery Township Fire Department and prior to that was the Chairman of the Crockery Township Fire Advisory Board. I've been married for 30 years and we have an adult son and daughter. I am seeking the Crockery Township Board Trustee position because I feel my education, and experience will be an asset.
The current Township Board and the Township Administration have done and are doing an excellent job. My goal would be to continue this tradition and be able to add some of my own perspective to any future Township endeavors.
1. Sustaining and building infrastructure to meet any growth within Crockery Township. 2. Growth is inevitable but it should be a measured growth commiserate with the residents wishes and infrastructure. 3. Maintaining levels of service, and increasing fire department response times, reducing the ISO rating, and eventually adding a second fire station.
It does seem that Crockery Township could do better in communicating with it's residents by adding a Facebook page, and to be more active in other social media platforms. The Board minutes are difficult to access and don't seem to offer much insight into agenda items. My email would be made available and I would respond to any requests and questions from residents.
