I am a lifelong resident of Greenville County and have served in citizen volunteer organizations for 25 years, including President of the Greenville County Farm Bureau
The biggest issue we are facing is a lack of adequate infrastructure that stems from overdevelopment of the county. I would strive to implement a plan to require infrastructure FIRST before any development projects are approved.
Zoning and Land Use reform are keys to making a pathway for affordable housing.
I would advocate to maximize available funds to improve our roads and bridges

I'm a local that grew up in Greenville. I understand our history and culture. I worked hard as a youth helping my family business. I completed my Electrical Engineering Degree at Clemson while working to pay for that degree. I served my country as an aircraft commander in the United States Air Force for 20 years. I've worked in large corporations, medium sized businesses, and now I work supporting two small businesses. I serve at Brushy Creek Baptist Church where my family hears the truth proclaimed and lived out. I've assistant coached my boys baseball teams.

I will use discernment developed from my life experiences and do my homework to find solutions to the issues facing our community.
Overgrowth that is overwhelming our infrastructure. We can't allow anymore micro-lot, 1000+ home subdivision plans or high density apartments off of tiny roads that continue to stress our public utilities. Developers and county planners need to widen roads first before completing projects that clog our roads. Impact fees assessed early can be spent on capital projects to prevent traffic jams. Upgrading sensors at traffic lights will help with traffic flow.
Our county council working well with the planning committee, Greenville Area Development Corporation (GADC) and Greenville Tech has the ability to increase opportunity and earning potential for many people to make workforce housing more affordable.
Greenville City modernized their downtown red light sensors and traffic flow has improved. I would like to see that effort extended to the county intersections.
