1) Strengthening public education and supporting educators
2) Reducing the influence of money in state government to increase transparency and accountability, and
3) Addressing housing affordability to ensure more North Dakotans can build stable lives in their communities.
I am for Medicare for all at a broader level but doing so at our state level is no currently feasible. I would work to try and pass legislation to allow the state government to negotiate and regulate the price of drugs and procedures offered in the state.
I would change our current model of housing assistance. Instead of giving breaks or assistance to the construction companies to build homes. We would offer direct assistance at different rates to home buyers. This is because when given to construction companies they simply build homes more expensive with the assistance in mind for the price. The new way has new homebuyers of a new construction get the most, then new buyer old home, and even for fixing up old homes to make them more modern.
I am not for sending any public funds to any institution that is not publicly run.
Our method of voting is second to none. Not having voter registration is what the entire nation should adopt. That said we could improve by increasing the number of locations for people to vote at.
As of right now the Federal government under the current administration does not believe in the federal constitution let alone the concept of states rights. They are abusing their power and attacking states that didn't support them in the federal election. This hurts all those in those state even those that did support them. It is hard to give a fair and nuanced answer when we are living in such an unprecedent crisis at the federal level.

School Construction Program to help rural school districts offset the cost of new school construction.
Continue to improve healthcare access by keeping families together as patients are treated closer to home.
Continue to improve K12 outcomes and hold public education accountable for performance.
Use existing infrastructure to expand career and technical education opportunities to help develop the economy through education.
One issue is try and keep patients closer to home and frankly in their homes will reduced heathcare costs. Broader care options at our critical access hospitals is important and this is something we hope to accomplish in the Rural Health Transformation Program. Better overall nutrition coupled with more movement and low impact exercise will go a long way in improving health.
I think the bill we had in the 69th is ideal, help smaller communities remove old, dilapidated building, make infrastructure improvements to the lot, and help offset the cost of building new homes.
First time buyer home loan programs is another useful tool that several of our kids have used in other states.
Absolutely in opposition. Not until non-public schools follow all of the reporting and testing requirements of public schools. Further, open board meetings are required. Money cannot go to these institutions without proper pubic transparency.
We have the safest elections in the US and take numerous precautions to limit the potential for bad actors to influence the outcome.
I think the SAVE Act is a good example of federal overreach. However, there are a lot of places where the federal government is overly intrusive and a good example is K12 education. However, states are also treading on federal rights by making certain pharmaceuticals "over the counter" in their states, clearly violated federal statute that gives that authority only to the FDA. It cuts both ways sometimes.

My priorities are stability, stewardship, and service. That means strong public schools supported by responsible, predictable funding so they can plan ahead and serve students well. I support steady budgeting that avoids constant swings and helps communities and local governments plan for the future. I want to strengthen working families and local communities. I will listen carefully, work across differences, and focus on practical solutions that improve daily life.
I will work on lowering costs and improving access. That includes increasing price transparency so patients know what they are paying for and can make informed decisions. We need to support a strong healthcare workforce to reduce shortages and wait times, especially in rural areas. I also support investing in preventative care and expanding access to early treatment, so people can address issues before they become more serious and costly.
I would focus on practical steps to increase housing supply and keep communities affordable. That includes supporting workforce housing, encouraging responsible development, and making better use of existing infrastructure before expanding outward. We should reduce unnecessary barriers to building while maintaining local control. I also support incentivizing rehabilitation and remodeling of existing housing so older properties remain viable and help meet demand.
No. Public funds belong in public schools. They serve every student and are accountable to the communities that support them. Diverting those dollars weakens the very system most families rely on, especially when schools are already under budget pressure. Families can make their own choices, but public funding should be fully committed to strengthening and protecting public education.
North Dakota’s voting system is generally accessible and works well for most voters. I support maintaining secure, fair elections while ensuring access remains straightforward, including early and absentee voting options. We should continue reviewing processes to make voting convenient without compromising integrity. The goal should be a system people trust, where eligible voters can participate easily and confidently.
I believe the federal government should set baseline protections while allowing states flexibility to meet local needs. At times, that balance gets off. For example, federal requirements can be placed on states without sufficient funding to carry them out, creating strain on local budgets. I support a practical partnership that respects state roles while ensuring fairness, consistency, and opportunity for all Americans.
