Candidate- Why
I’m seeking to serve because I believe local government is where belonging becomes real. It’s where roads get paved, schools get supported, and neighbors either feel seen or overlooked. After a lifetime of service, I’m not ready to step off the field. I’ve seen what strong communities look like, and I want to help build one here at home. This is about showing up, listening well, and making sure District 6 continues to be a place people are proud to live, raise families, and invest their time.
Candidate- What
People are what matter the most. Families, farmers, small business owners, volunteers. I care about preserving the character of our rural communities while making smart decisions that support growth. I believe trust is built through consistency, transparency, and respect. If people feel heard and know someone is advocating for them, that knowledge changes how they engage in the community.
Candidate- How
I’ll focus on relationships and results. That means working closely with community members, building strong ties with state and local leaders, and making decisions grounded in data and real experience. I’ll show up, communicate clearly, and stay accountable. Small, consistent actions create momentum. And momentum builds communities that last.
I’ll treat the budget as a reflection of the community, not just numbers on a page. That starts with listening. I’ll spend time across the district, hearing directly from residents, small businesses, and community groups.
I’ll also work closely with county departments to understand real needs on the ground. Pairing that with data helps ensure we’re making informed, responsible decisions.
From there, I’ll advocate for priorities that improve daily life and support long term growth. Just as important, I’ll emphasize transparency so residents understand how decisions are made. When people can see their priorities reflected, trust in local government grows.
I’d prioritize infrastructure that makes daily life safer, smoother, and more reliable. That starts with maintaining and improving our roads, especially in rural areas where access matters most.
I’d support targeted traffic and safety improvements at high-risk intersections, along with better signage and visibility. Expanding broadband access is also critical so families, students, and small businesses can stay connected and competitive.
Finally, I’d focus on the water system, fire hydrant installations across the county, drainage, and long-term planning to support responsible growth without losing what makes our community special. Small, consistent improvements in these areas make a real difference in how people live day to day.
