Proposed Tax Levy (Renewal) Clermont County Park DistrictA majority affirmative vote is necessary for passageA renewal of a tax for the benefit of Clermont County Park District for the purpose of protecting the water quality of rivers, lakes, and streams; preserving land to protect drinking water sources; providing nature education for children; maintaining, improving, and operating existing parks; protecting natural areas and wildlife habitat; developing and maintaining recreational trails for walking and biking; acquiring land for new and existing parks and trails from willing sellers; improving new parks; improving park safety; and seeking matching funds from federal, state, and private sources for these purposes; with all spending subject to routine audits by the State of Ohio, as authorized by Ohio Revised Code Section 1545.21 that the county auditor estimates will collect $2,301,056 annually, at a rate not exceeding 0.5 mill for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $11 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 10 years, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027.
