The County Auditor is Chief Fiscal Officer of the county. It is his/her responsibility to account for the millions of dollars received each year by the County and to issue warrants (checks) in payment of all County obligations, including the distribution of tax dollars to the townships, villages, cities, school districts and library systems as well as other county agencies. With over 15 years of experience in the Auditor’s Office and a background in finance, I have the knowledge and leadership needed to keep this office running effectively and responsibly for the people of Stark County, receiving 14 consecutive years of receiving the GFOA's Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting.
I bring over 15 years of experience within the Auditor’s Office, including leadership as Executive Administrator and now serving as Auditor. I understand the operations, laws, and responsibilities of the office, along with a background in finance from my time in the private sector. This combination of public service experience and financial expertise allows me to lead effectively, ensure accuracy, and serve taxpayers with transparency and accountability.
I am running for Auditor because this office requires experienced, accountable leadership grounded in integrity and a commitment to following the law. Managing taxpayer resources is a serious responsibility, and I will ensure accuracy, transparency, and fairness while continuing to provide excellent service to the community. My experience and education makes me qualified for the county auditor position.
I have worked as a finance director for over 12 years and oversaw all aspects of the position.
I have reduced debt, increased efficiency and managed employees in the payroll, income tax, accounts payable and accounts receivable depts. Under my leadership, the accumulated savings from each city I served was more than my entire salary over the time I was appointed!
I am a protective stewart of taxpayer funds and will bring my expertise to the Auditors office.
I want to make the Auditors office a more streamlined and responsible office that the taxpayers of Stark County know it’s fair and equitable. The current office needs leadership to bring back trust and transparency.
I will reduce the operating budget immediately by 10 percent and renegotiate service contracts and other expenses. The Stark County taxpayers deserve an office that is transparent and know they’re tax dollars are managed effectively.
