The Ashtabula Office includes an elected Coroner, Chief Investigator/Administrator, two additional full-time Investigators, administrative assistant, and one part-time investigator.Section 313.12 of the Ohio Revised Code mandates the Coroner's Office make an inquiry regarding deaths that are a result of criminal or other violent means, by casualty, by suicide, or in any suspicious manner, when a person dies when in apparent good health including a child under two years of age, or when any person with a developmental disability dies regardless of the circumstances.
