Filing County McKinley
My unique qualifications come from life experience. I have worked with the Navajo nation as well as the Hopi and understand the challenges there is to upholding law in Mckinley county. I grew up in Miami lived in Alabama had business in Indiana as well as TX. New Mexico is not like any of those places. I have slept at a windmill for days rounded up wild horses and cattle lived with the amish, my son and his mother are Mexican. I have served my country in the US Navy my business partner is navajo. I have seen and lived every side of the coin. I believe these experiences make me uniquely qualified for the position.
I would work more closely with the tribal entities that surround McKinley county. Our court system is unique with tribal jurisdictions and beliefs that need to be respected. It would be my goal to work with those entities in an effort to improve and have the legal system work for all equally. We need more cooperation with law enforcement and tribal entities instead of just punching a time clock and passing judgements. The court system in the past has become to partisan and personal. We have the challenges of entities working against each other in the past. If your not willing to step across that border aisle or beliefs system then nothing will change.
You have to actually care, those who just want to be in office for selfish reasons will never fix anything. If you feel like you are above your constituency you are already failing. If you throw up your hands with the attitude of what can I do then you don't belong in office. You have to be willing to do what goes against what your preconceived notions are you have to have an open mind only then can you make a difference. I also believe magistrate judge is a non partisan appointment. Anyone running for office with preconceived talking points given to them by a party also has no business in office. I believe this is how we change the judicial system listen to your constituents and take yourself out of the picture. I am only a tool of the law
