County Auditor
An Ohio County Auditor is an elected official serving as the county's chief fiscal officer, assessor, and payroll officer. They maintain financial records, pay county obligations, appraise property values for tax purposes, license dogs/vendors, and inspect weights and measures (e.g., gas pumps). They act as the county's "checkbook" guardian.
