I have argued one step below the US Supreme Court. I have argued for my clients in numerous courts and appeal boards. I have a broad experience, background and education, which is important to an Appeal Court Judge. Much of my practice deals with Legal Briefs and filings, which is good experience for an Appeals Court Judge. I have served as a mediator.
I want to give back to the legal community that has given so much to me. Based on my background, experience and education the 5th District Court of Appeals is a natural fit for me. It is a three-person court so diversity in the Judges is very important.
Access to the Court System. I would make the court more accessible with having the court hearings in schools and public places. I would have court hearings at night and the weekends for accessibility. I would listen to citizens and the public about their needs.
Affordable access to the Court System. Courts not listening to citizens.
