In the modern day we have witnessed the weaponization of illegal immigration by those promoting Marxism and the destruction of our foundational law and liberties. Because of massive state and national security threats associated with Elections Integrity and Illegal Immigration I fully support enhancing identification security at voting locations using Facial Recognition to confirm voter identity and a recorded police presence as well to ensure transparency and chain of custody of voting records. Because our elections are a vital aspect of our governance I support minimalist state grants for underfunded counties to ensure poll workers and police are present as well as for vital technologies needed to administer elections.
I believe that when we tax our society we must gain such funds from sources representing healthy and productive economic flow of money and labor but we should avoid taxing from sources which are foundational to our own personal being and substance which we already have. That is why I support making all occupied residential property in Ohio exempt from all property taxes in order to empower Ohioans to be independent, to strengthen small home businesses, and to protect our vulnerable Seniors who've earned the right to live out their lives in the homes they bought with dignity. I will shift sourcing of such former property tax revenue into modest increases to Ohio sales tax and income tax to maintain current funding. I support Ohio finding ways to increase home ownership and production.
Among many benefits of my program of property tax reform is that it gives home owners, landlords, farmers, and all home businesses more money in their pocket and increases their ability to have stronger businesses without the overhead of property tax while providing our Seniors on fixed or limited incomes to have more economic stability. I want Ohio to audit all programs of state benefits for SNAP and cash assistance to find and eliminate any fraud and waste to save funding. I support reforming the SNAP program to limit the amount of junk foods like candy and soda in order to foster healthier use of such funds intended primarily for nutrition although I think a little pleasure food is fine. I support increasing Ohioans SNAP benefits and eligibility to help them amid rising food costs.
I come from a family of several generations of school teachers so I understand that public schools are a vital part of our society that deserve support. Being myself a father of two children in Homeschooling I strongly support and will always defend Homeschooling and school choice. I also believe that public schools consuming over 40% of Ohio's state budget, that's over 13 billion annually, is excessive and decreasing Ohio's prosperity and therefore I support schools being economically conservative and taking measures to conserve funding. I want our public schools to raise their standards of curriculum by expanding classes for High Schools to teach competency in Critical Thinking skills, logic and basic history of Philosophy.
I believe all Americans and state officials should be seeking as much peace and common ground as possible in life and politics, while adhering to America's fundamental culture of Liberty under God expressed in our state and federal Constitutions and Bill of Rights and other historical writings of the Founders of America. When Americans are united by our common culture and law we are empowered to help all Americans have their needs met and live in peace. This is why I'm an America First candidate, because when we put Americans and our way of life first in politics we advocate to create a united society held together by the recognition of God from whom all our just laws, inborn liberty and national culture and prosperity are derived.
