Training and Experience
My training comes from both military service and real life experience. As a Marine Corps Sergeant, I led teams, managed critical operations, and was recognized for excellence and integrity. Beyond that, my experiences as a mother, student, and advocate have given me firsthand insight into the challenges families face, fueling my commitment to create real, lasting change.
Volunteer/Community Service
My community service is rooted in being present and involved. From organizing donation drives for local families to supporting teachers and schools, I believe in taking care of the people around us. As a mom and veteran, I understand how important st
I would focus on removing barriers that make it harder for working families, seniors, and young people to vote. That includes expanding early voting hours, protecting and streamlining vote by mail, and ensuring adequate polling locations so no one is waiting in long lines. Voting is a fundamental right, and our policies should reflect that by making participation as accessible as possible.
Right now, too many Ohio families are feeling squeezed. I would support tax reforms that lower the burden on working families, like targeted relief or credits, while closing loopholes that allow large corporations to avoid paying their fair share. Tax policy should reflect our values, and that means investing in schools, infrastructure, and the stability families need to succeed.
I’ve lived what it feels like to be stretched thin by rising costs. Families aren’t struggling because they’re doing something wrong, they’re struggling because the system isn’t working for them. We need to bring down costs for housing, childcare, and healthcare while making sure wages actually keep up. No one working full time should have to choose between groceries, rent, and basic needs.
I believe in strong public schools because I’ve seen what happens when systems fail our kids. My priority is making sure no child falls through the cracks, through fair funding, smaller class sizes, and real support for teachers and students.
For higher education, I want to make sure opportunity is actually within reach. That means lowering costs, supporting student success, and valuing all pathways, college, trades, and career training, so every student can build a future that works for them.
I’ve lived and worked with people from all different backgrounds and beliefs, especially during my time in the military. You learn quickly that you don’t have to agree on everything to respect each other and get the job done. I’ll bring that same mindset to public service, focused on solutions, not sides.

Voting should be safe, easy, and encouraged by the state irrespective of a voter's inclinations. I would support allowing registration up to and including election day. I would support policies that register eligible citizens when they obtain a drivers license or other state ID, especially for teenagers. I would support making registration materials available in high schools for seniors.
For elections, I support redistricting policies and procedures that remove partisan interests and rely on non-partisan, expert map makers for fair and competitive districts.
I support federal initiatives to do the same and to make election day a holiday, and I oppose federal voter suppression, including the SAVE Act.
I support a graduated, progressive income tax in Ohio that ensures that the state has the funds to make a positive difference in our lives while taxing those of humble means less than those who are more well-healed.
Property tax is a major concern for many. Real property tax reform begins with the state honoring its obligations to fund public education, a failing which has driven up property taxes across the state as local districts make up the short fall.
I would support energy permitting, pricing, and transmission policies that would help us enjoy more, inexpensive renewable energy, which would be helpful for us as consumers of energy at home and would lower input costs for businesses.
I would also support construction of more housing in growing areas, like Central Ohio, so that housing prices do not spiral out of control.
I would also support economic growth and development policies that keep Ohio's economy growing and create opportunity for people at all levels of the social economic ladder. A strong economy is essential for financially secure families.
Public education is the primary issue in my candidacy. The state government strips money from public schools by manipulating the school funding formula and forcing local tax payers to either shoulder more of the cost or accept underfunded schools. I opposed this. The state has an obligation to current and future generations to fund schools fairly. Likewise, I oppose the state's universal voucher policy. Public tax dollars should benefit public institutions. I am no opponent of private education, but we should never defund public education of public funs to subsidize private institutions.
I will fight for fair school funding from the state, support using public funds to public institutions, and oppose efforts to abolish teachers' associations.
I would focus on building relationships with members across the aisle such that even if we disagree with one another on every issue, we can find some common personal connection.
For representatives of the opposite party with whom I have shared policy opinions, I will eagerly work with them to introduce bipartisan bills and will promote the fact that our efforts are bipartisan.
Hyperpartisan policymaking and politics are unfortunately a fact of government for the time being, but I will spend my time trying to find the opportunities to show what collaboration rather than conflict offers us.
