Training and Experience I'm a mental health counselor of 13 years and a business owner for that practice for the last 6 years.
Volunteer/Community Service I am currently a member of Hamilton Junior Women's League, which focuses on supporting programs that support women and children in our community.
I would like voting to be easily accessible to all people, reducing the barriers to getting registered and getting to the polls. Longer polling hours, mail-in voting-- all should be options for this.
Tax reform would best focused on reducing taxes on residents of Ohio and shifting the burden back to the coporations that are moving into Ohio. Reducing tax abatement timelines would be a good start.
The above would allow for more tax revenue generated by corporations, hopefully to lessen the burden of residents. I would focus on policy that reduce costs, eliminate frivolous fees, and make policies that focus on giving seniors a break, especially.
Fund them properly and constitutionally, focusing on renewing the previous funding formula while also trying to design a system that will meet all the correct criteria that provides a better education. Education is one of the top priorities for my campaign.
I intend on showing up in spaces, remaining calm, and putting the focus on the system being the issue. As a mental health counselor, I think I have some skills that could be really useful in this arena.
