Vodrey is running for his second full term on the court. Gallagher is currently an assistant county prosecuting attorney.The League is sending a questionnaire to both Democratic Party candidates, but will not send one to the sole Republican candidate until the fall. The Republican candidate for this seat is Timothy W. Clary, who was appointed to the 8th District Court of Appeals in February 2026 to complete an term that expires at the end of this year. Cleary is not running to retain his post on the appeals court.The League will send a questionnaire to Clary before the General Election.
