A Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Air Force Reserve, Alea has held critical roles as military police, special agent, intelligence officer, advising on military strategy and national security policy at the Pentagon, the National Security Council, and deployed to defeat terrorism. Alea has served all around the United States, but always brought her midwest work ethic with her and she knows how to Get Stuff Done!

I would vote and support for election policy that enhances election security, and restore voter confidence by advocating for mandatory photo IDs, proof-of-citizenship for voter registration. It is important we have election integrity.
High costs were driven by pandemic-era supply chain disruptions, high demand, labor shortages, and increased energy prices, resulting in inflation and cost of living expenses increasing. I would address this by decrease government spending, cutting taxes, curbing regulations, and increasing domestic energy production. The idea is to increase take-home pay!
I would reduce hyper-partisanship by being civil myself. I generally enjoy being kind to everyone and it starts with me, how I treat others. I think to promote civility it starts with how I act and react. It cost nothing to be civil and I see a America where civility is not dead.
That is a very broad question and I would need a more specific scenario. I am a national security professional myself and I can tell you each situation is different and requires different positions. I am not trying to avoid the answer, its simply too broad. Broadly speaking, its important to have national sovereignty, and prioritizing American interests is something I would always favor.
Immigrants have made valuable contributions to the United States throughout our history; there is a difference between legal immigration and illegal immigration. It is unfair to allow people into the country illegally while people follow the rules and wait in line, sometimes for many years, for a chance to contribute to our society and live the American Dream. I will ensure U.S. policy is clear that there is a legal process to enter the U.S. and it should be merit based.
