I believe voting should be easy for working people and hard for corruption to manipulate. I support automatic voter registration, expanded early voting, strong vote by mail protections, and making Election Day a federal holiday so nobody has to choose between a paycheck and their voice. I also support banning partisan gerrymandering, strengthening protections against voter suppression, restoring the Voting Rights Act, and increasing transparency around campaign spending and outside money. Our democracy only works if people believe their vote matters more than a donor’s check and that their districts are not being rigged behind closed doors.
The cost of living crisis is the result of policy choices that allowed monopolies, speculation, and corporate power to squeeze working families at every level. I would address it by aggressively enforcing anti trust laws, breaking up monopolies, and going after price gouging with real penalties and strict enforcement. We also need investment in housing, infrastructure, energy, manufacturing, and transportation to lower everyday costs in the long run. Families should not be forced to pay more just because giant corporations have the power to rig the market and exploit basic needs for profit.
We reduce hyperpartisanship by giving people something real to believe in again: competent government that actually improves their lives. When leaders focus on lowering costs, rebuilding communities, creating jobs, and solving problems, there is less room for empty outrage and political theater. I believe in being respectful and honest at the same time. I will work with anyone acting in good faith, but I will not pretend civility means tolerating corruption, cowardice, or inaction. The country does not need more performance or party loyalty tests. It needs steady leadership focused on results, accountability, and the common
Real national security starts with a strong nation at home. A country with weak infrastructure, fragile supply chains, neglected public systems, and a hollowed out industrial base is not truly secure. We need to rebuild our strength here through investment in manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, water systems, and cybersecurity. I support a strong defense, but military action must be an absolute last resort after every diplomatic and strategic option is exhausted. Congress must reclaim its constitutional role over war making, and the power of the executive branch must be limited. Endless intervention is not strength; a capable, stable nation is.
We need an immigration system that is lawful, orderly, humane, and rooted in constitutional rights. That means secure borders, modernized processing, faster legal review, and a system that can handle asylum and legal immigration fairly and efficiently. ICE, as it exists today, must be abolished and replaced with an approach centered on due process, accountability, and human dignity. If ICE officers or officials break the law or violate constitutional rights, they should be investigated and prosecuted. No agency is above the law. We need enforcement that serves the public interest, protects rights, and rejects both chaos and cruelty.

Try to implement open primaries similar to what some states have like Pennsylvania nationwide.
I don’t believe in forcing regime changes or sending our troops to fight foreign wars. We need to cut spending on weapons.
Legal pathway in for families that are here and speed up the process. We need to unmask ICE agents and hold them accountable like all other law enforcement agencies. Not pass laws that would make it a crime to protest near the agents. Release all individuals being held that do not have felony criminal records.

Life, Liberty, and Justice for All means every American gets have one vote; no more and no less; additional votes individually can neither be bought nor sold; these principles ensure every individual has equal opportunity and voice in the voting booth. Americans have the right to vote and that protection for that vote - that our voting information is safe and not Federally compromised. It needs to be an easy and convenient process. Women and others who have changed their names should not be burdened with additional requirements to prove their right to be at and included in the polls. Women and others who have changed their names, especially due to marriage, should be granted the right to use both their sur name and married name if they so choose as they are still person.

Instead of arguing over differences I strive to find commonality that we can achieve together across the isle. We are all in this together and together we rise.
Actions caused by individuals that threaten the safety and sovereignty of our nation, whether from domestic threats or abroad, shall be prosecuted and tried for the Act of Treason by the United Congress and testify before Congress. No exceptions.
Any one person, any one thing or any entity that prohibits our basic Constitutional Rights – considered by some to have a sacredness- especially Rights of Freedoms of Speech, Assembly, Peaceful Protest, and Religion & Due Process – should not exist. This is a threat to the American People. There is no “fixing ICE”. WWI & WWII soldiers fought and died to protect Americans from this type of Federal Brutality. ICE needs to be abolished. I would enact legislation that not only abolishes ICE. I would enact legislation prohibiting states the ability to impose false authority to ICE agents through legislation and otherwise. Law Officers would no longer also to be masked - and would always have to identify themselves with both ID and a badge.
Firstly I would propose that election day be made a national holiday so that everyone would have the opportunity to go out and vote. Secondly, I would oppose the Save Act. If a person lives in the district and can prove residence via mail recognized by the US Post office, they can vote in the district. If they pay taxes, they have paid for the right to select their representation.
We need to rethink the minimum wage into a livable wage. However, if we pay more we need to stop price increases. We need a moratorium on price increases until the livable wage has caught up to the price increases of the last 50-75 years.
We need to work to change the two-party system that seems to be the basis of today's political landscape. We need to understand there is more that unites us all rather than what divides us. We need to focus on those things that unite us, that drive our decisions, and we need to just talk. Ultimately we all just want what is best for our constituents and the future of the town, city, district, state, and country. Look past the letter after the name, and see the name! We are people, not parties.
A global community and strong diplomatic relationships help foster strong foreign policy as well as enhance national security. We need to unite as a species to build up and endure the future prosperity of the species.
We can secure our country without the radical ideas of walls, or the extreme actions of ICE. But, we shouldn't shut our borders from those who seek the American dream. We need to remember we were all immigrants at some point. Unless you are native American, your ancestors immigrated here from somewhere. The statue of liberty welcomes all those who are yearning to be free, we cannot just ignore a world famous landmark or what it represents to the world about us.

As a citizen, I believe that every American should be able to participate equally in our democracy, to choose the direction of the country, and to hold our elected leaders accountable. As a candidate at the federal level, I support protecting and expanding voter rights and access for ALL eligible voters through legislation such as H.R. 14 the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, as well as making election day a national holiday. I also support judicial or legislative action against Citizens United to clean up our political system of dark money and restore the voice of working people.
On this campaign, our number one focus is on improving the lives of working people. The most direct way to do that is to lower prices and create higher wages to put more money in your pocket. We support a federal minimum wage increase and expanded union rights to drive up wages for everyone while utilizing the FTC to take on and break up the big corporations that profit from our high prices. We also support a federal program to build more housing across the country and advocate for a Medical for All plan to lower healthcare costs. Because in the richest country on the planet, our lives shouldn’t be getting harder while those at the top make record profits.
I do not believe that working Americans are truly divided. I believe that our system is designed to push us apart for the benefit of the billionaire class. In a country that is overwhelmingly in favor of less foreign wars, less tax breaks for billionaires, and more support for the health, wealth, education, and safety of working families, our motivation is to govern for our neighbors and community. To do so, we cannot continue to maintain a corrupt system of double standards and must address the root causes of political and economic inequality in our country. To move forward, all must be equal under the law, and every child must grow up with the opportunity to work for a better life.
As a former international development worker on USAID projects with extensive experience across the world, I believe strongly in America’s potential to be a positive force for economic development, democracy, peace, a free press, and basic human rights. However, to do so abroad is to live by our example at home, where all foreign policy is also domestic policy. By auditing the Pentagon and reprioritizing our national budget to support public health and education, we can set that example by creating a more equal system of opportunity in the United States. By learning from the lessons of our recent history, working people are demanding more investment into schools and hospitals at home, and less bombs abroad. And ultimately, that leadership will create a safer world for all.
I support a comprehensive immigration reform bill that addresses the root causes of our broken system, including the full reform of both DHS and ICE. To improve legal migration and border security, we can invest in more immigration and asylum judges, training for border guards, and create partnerships with our neighbors to deter illegal migration. At the same time, we can create pathways to citizenship for those stuck in legal limbo and formalize those who work and reside lawfully. And we can do it with the dignity and respect of a nation of immigrants.
