Some of my key legislative priorities are property tax abatement leading to elimination, government spending reduction, public land access and management, food security, and entitlement reform. I would like to see Idaho retain its culture and expand the freedoms that make Idaho the Gem of the Pacific Northwest. I plan to work with my fellow legislators to ensure that the citizens of Idaho are able to safely walk the streets of their community, start and maintain small businesses, access public lands for recreation and self-sufficiency purposes, educate and advocate appropriate medical care for their children as they see fit, own property free and clear from governmental encumbrances, and once again have faith in our electoral system.
I am a wife, mother and grandmother who has worked in the public sector, the private sector and owned a small business. I have seen, firsthand, good and bad governmental regulation as well as wasteful spending. As a current member of my local Planning and Zoning Commission, I see the impact that governmental decisions have on the lives and livelihoods of citizens. I believe strongly that my background has provided me with a unique perspective that balances the rights of the individual with the needs of a community and I plan to bring that perspective to the Idaho House of Representatives.
I believe that one of the biggest hurdles facing our current legislative body is one of gridlock. Far too many bills are being placed in drawers until deals are cut and legislators are compromised. As someone who believes that character is a trait one exhibits when no-one else is looking, I feel that my most significant challenge will be accepting that bills I may sponsor or co-sponsor might be couched due to my refusal to 'play ball'. In my mind, my job is to represent the will of the people from my district, not cave to leadership or compromise my morals for fancy dinners and/or accommodations.
If elected, my plan is to maintain open lines of communication with my constituents, both during session and beyond. I feel that it is critical for every representative to hear the good, the bad and the ugly from those who are directly affected by the decisions they make. If anyone has questions about who I am, how I think, what I believe or how I plan to vote, all they need to do is ask.

Idaho consistently ranks near the bottom nationally thanks to a Republican super majority for the last 40 years. I'm running to reverse this trend and so are a record number of Democrats across the state. A simple fact is if Democrats aren't on the ballot they can't win and neither do the citizens of Idaho. Healthcare, Education, Public lands, and Affordability are all under attack. This 2026 Election offers Idaho and our nation a last chance to save Democracy! I would greatly appreciate your vote!

A guaranteed accomplishment with my winning the election would be increasing the Democrats' overall percentage in the Legislature. Thus, more committee seat appointments allowing for responsible legislation and budgeting.
The Idaho Constitution in Article 9 charges the Legislature with establishing “a general, uniform and thorough system of public, free common schools.” I would like to make Article 9 a reality once again.
In my career as a mail carrier I was trained as a Facilitator with the Postal Service for resolving problems in the work place. Those years were both frustrating and rewarding, I gained life experiences working with people I'll never forget.
I have 20+ years in Idaho politics, holding a variety of offices, even representing the Idaho Democratic Party at the national DNC level. Meeting and visting with President Obama was definitely the highlight of those years.
More recently, I've attended Braver Angels seminars. Braver Angels is a volunteer-led movement to bridge the partisan divide and strengthen our democratic republic.
Raising the awareness of Idaho citizens to take ownership and participate in their own government. Make “We the People” mean something again.
With Your help and vote, I will represent our District in the Idaho Legislature with Common Sense and Humility. It's about time we restore balance to the Idaho Legislature!
