I will continue to leverage our investment and use of technology, while listening to the concerns and needs of our users and citizens. In doing so I am look for ways to merge the ideas of the end users of our information and available technology together that will best serve the public and provides the greatest benefit and use of our tax dollars. I have recently converted to a new real estate system, that saves taxpayer dollars along with providing that will provide greater information to the public and businesses that are potentially looking to locate in Lorain County. I am working on upgrading our financial system, as our budget allows, that will save money and provide greater information to the public as to where their tax dollars go.
As auditor, you realize and appreciate that all functions of this office carry a high level of importance when it comes to serving the public. No matter what task or function we are performing, it affects people's lives in some way and keeping that in mind attempt to do what is in the publics best interest. There are numerous functions within the office, most notably are the finance and real estate divisions. From a finance perspective, we want to make sure our work is validated by clean audits performed by the Auditor of State and provide timely financial information. As for the real estate division, we administer state programs for the benefit of the public and work towards arriving at property values that are fair and equitable.
I truly believe in public service and wish to continue taking a proactive role in helping to better our community. As past president of the County Auditor's Association of Ohio and current district officer, I will continue to advocate for our County and citizens. The auditor's office is a gatekeeper of public information and administers so many programs that can help provide relief to homeowners that serves to protect the publics interests. I want to continue that mission and have the experience and background to do so. I will continue to be that independent voice and advocate to serve the public and move Lorain County forward.
