I am running for the Township Board out of a desire to help manage challenges due to development/growth in Wayne Township and to help navigate legislative changes that may be coming to township government.
Township government plays an important role in providing for township relief, fire protection within the township, and maintenance of historical cemeteries.
The most pressing need of the township is managing the impact of change. Not only is the Township growing, which will create its own challenges, but it is also likely that the State Legislature will continue to evaluate Township government reform. As a Township Board member, I will listen to the concerns of Township residents and will support the Township Trustee to the best of my ability by being an engaged board member.
I am currently the Assistant Chief of the Noblesville Police Department, where I have 20 years of experience. A majority of my career has been in supervision, where I have experience managing personnel, budgets, facilities, and capital projects. I have great working relationships across city departments and feel that could be an asset to help support the Trustee.
In addition to my tenure as a police officer, I also enjoy volunteering at fundraising events for the Indiana Parkinson Foundation, where I was a past board member. I am also a veteran of the United States Army Reserves and served overseas on deployment during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
