Biographical Information

What education, training and experience qualify you for this position?

What would be your top priorities if elected to this position?

What should be the City’s role (if any) when faced with immigration enforcement actions?

What are your proposed strategies to manage water supply with increasing population and proposals for high-usage industrial development in the face of ongoing drought?

Can you suggest guidelines that will ensure that residents testifying at public input sessions at City Council meetings will be respected as partners in city deliberations and decisions?

I have a Bachelor's degree in Business Management and extensive financial experience. In my former career, I managed payroll, accounts payable for our department in two different companies and payroll for the local union.
Work with and support the new City Administrator so that the governing body will implement policies, ordinances, resolutions to create a better way of doing business going forward. In addition, ensure financial controls, address wasteful spending, high salaries, and have council receive monthly financials.
Public safety is always the City’s responsibility, and that includes ensuring our officers serve everyone in our community with professionalism and respect. Operational decisions about enforcement procedures are handled by Chief Duarte and trained law enforcement professionals, who are best equipped to navigate those responsibilities. My role as a council member is to support clear policies, lawful practices, and a community where residents feel safe reporting crime and seeking help when they need it.
Water planning is one of the most important long-term responsibilities we have. As our city grows, we must balance economic development with responsible resource management. That means carefully evaluating high-usage proposals, strengthening conservation measures, planning infrastructure improvements, and working closely with regional partners and water providers to ensure sustainability.

Growth should never outpace our ability to provide essential services. I support thoughtful planning that protects our water supply for current residents while preparing responsibly for the future.
The city of Uhland process for public comments is with the city secretary. Forms are available to be submitted before meeting starts. The goal should be to encourage citizen participation.
