The largest challenge is to provide adequate manpower in Public Safety with Police, Fire, and Medical. I plan to continue to implement more savings strategies throughout the town, so we can increase incentives to hire and retain our staff in these areas.
To ensure immediately that each department is implementing cutbacks in spending. I would implement more combining of services within departments and also with other nearby towns to save on expenses.
I have lived in Schererville my entire adult life. I served on the Personnel and Safety Board, Board of Zoning, and Police Commission before being elected as a Councilman in 2006.
19 years as a Councilman in Schererville offers the best experience.
Quality of life issues are very important. The desire to have good Public Safety, good public service, nice Roads, Parks, Trails, great restaurants, and quality businesses are the most important.
