What do you consider to be the most significant challenge in your community, and what strategies do you intend to implement to address it?
If you are elected, what strategies will you implement to address the projected funding gap in your municipality?
Please explain the qualifications and experience that make you a strong candidate for town council.
What else would you like to share with us?
Governor Braun's SB-1 Bill will make it significantly harder for every community in the state to fund public schools, parks, libraries and emergency services. Our fire department and EMS service has been under funded since it's implementation. I want to find ways to budget to free up, or reallocate money, to correct the issue.
Because of our proximity to Illinois, I would like to explore 1 or 2 cent taxes on restaurants to fill some of it.
I'm a lifelong resident. I've been involved with multiple town organizations over my lifetime, and was a volunteer firefighter/EMT for 14 yrs. until the department went full time.
I've been involved in politics for over 35 years and have thought many times " Why don't they try _____?" So I finally decided that now is the time to find out.
