The clerk serves as chair of the county records commission and oversees vehicle registrations; marriage and business licenses; driver’s license renewals; fish and game permits; and applications for notaries public and pawnbrokers.

How long have you lived in Hamilton County?

What is the greatest challenge you anticipate facing if you are elected?

What characteristics do you possess and/or what life experiences have you had that make you believe that you are the most qualified person for this office?

I’ve lived in Hamilton County for over 20 years, and this is truly home. It’s where my husband and I built our life and raised our family. I’ve stayed active in the community through service on boards and volunteering with many organizations. I care deeply about the people who live here. Hamilton County isn’t a talking point for me. It’s where I’ve put in the time, built relationships, and stayed invested.
The greatest challenge I anticipate if elected is balancing growing public expectations with fiscal responsibility. People want government services to be faster, easier, and more convenient, with online options, shorter wait times, and a smoother experience.

At the same time, the County Clerk’s Office handles money, records, and legal documents, which means accuracy, accountability, and good stewardship of taxpayer dollars must always come first.

If elected, I will focus on practical improvements that make service better for citizens while keeping the office efficient, responsible, and committed to doing things the right way. People deserve good service, and they also deserve to know their government is being responsible.
What sets me apart is that I have done this job at every level. I started as a line clerk and, over the past 19 years, worked my way up to Chief Deputy and Accountant. That means I didn’t just walk into a leadership role; I learned this office from the ground up. That experience has given me a ground-level understanding of the office, from helping customers at the counter to managing operations and finances behind the scenes.

I know where processes work, where frustrations happen, and where practical improvements can be made. I also understand the importance of accuracy, accountability, and good stewardship when handling public money and official records.

Just as important, I believe leadership is about how you treat people. I respect the employees who keep the office running, and I understand the citizens we serve. I know this office, I know this community, and I am prepared to lead on day one.
