1. Protect Essential Services – Ensure public safety, health services, infrastructure, and community programs remain strong despite state-level funding challenges.
2. Defend County Workers – Support fair wages, stable staffing, and responsible budgeting that protects the employees who keep Lake County running.

Fair. Focused. For the People.
I am running for Lake County Council District 3 with a background that combines financial oversight, public service, and community leadership.
As a current Library Board Member, I review and approve budgets and salaries, giving me direct experience with fiscal responsibility and taxpayer accountability — core duties of the Lake County Council.
I am a proud member of USW Local 1010 and serve as First District Captain of Gary and a G1-03 Precinct Committeeman. These roles have strengthened my leadership, coalition-building, and advocacy skills on behalf of working families.
My professional experience as a former teacher, coach, and Child Protective Services
With budget reductions ahead, my strategy is to protect essential services while improving efficiency and accountability.
First, I will prioritize core services like public safety, health, courts, and infrastructure before administrative spending. Second, I support performance-based budgeting to eliminate duplication and improve accuracy. Third, I will strengthen financial oversight and transparency to ensure every taxpayer dollar is used effectively.
I will also pursue grants, partnerships, and shared-service agreements to reduce costs without cutting services. Most importantly, I will support our workforce, because quality services depend on well-supported employees.
