To continue to work for improvements in the Trustee form of government. To get our County and State to use our offices which are closest to the people to provide the services that we currently contract out to NGO’s.
I am in my 2nd term as Trustee after 30 years as a career firefighter. I believe my time in public safety has given me a unique perspective to the needs of our community and it’s people.
We have already trimmed our operating expenses and I do as much of the work around the office as I can. I am the Trustee, but also the maintenance man and sometimes the janitor. When we remodeled our community rooms, I did all of the work, to save money for the Township.
That has been a challenge since I took office. I have tried to make the office more public by offering it to the community. We allow our Township service groups to use our facilities rent free for meetings. Our scouting organizations, seniors and youth sports all hold meetings at our facilities. I also had our office join our local Chamber of Commerce and am an active partner with our local businesses.
I think my record as a full time Trustee speaks for itself.
