A significant number of residents are unaware of the valuable assistance programs provided by the township trustee office. If elected, what strategies would you implement to enhance communication between the township trustee office and the public?

1) analyze the township's budget and priorities. Ensure that it serves our neighbors in need 2) outreach: make info about the township's services available on the internet, both on the county site and as a standalone site 3) work with other township boards to collaborate on mutual projects, for example, brochures to go in literature racks in libraries and houses of worship
I've done various kinds of communications work, both professionally and as a volunteer. I've developed many websites and managed social media platforms. I've worked with Crown Point residents and rural residents and understand that their needs differ.
With federal and state social services likely to decrease, aid at the local level will be even more crucial to those in need. I'll keep in touch with local service providers to understand where the greatest gaps are.
Definitely spread the word on the internet. Not everyone who needs township services is online or looks for help there, though. Radio press releases can help, and literature rack brochures.
