The US immigration system needs a complete overhaul with a merit based foundation. A broken system is not effective, compassionate or just. Until the system is fixed, the laws must be followed and applied equally. If we don't respect our own laws; we cannot expect others to do so.
The biggest threat to any ecosystem; economic, political or otherwise is corruption, waste and misallocation of resources. The economy cannot thrive with the trillions in waste draining the system.
1. Affordability (including taxes, insurance, homes) 2. Fiscal responsibility and cutting waste.
As the daughter and wife of veterans, I believe freedom of speech is the hallmark of our republic. It means I may disagree with what you say, but I defend your right to say it. Our ability to non-violently disagree and challenge things that go against our constitution is a freedom and a duty that must be protected.
The authority to oversee resides with both Congress and the President. Congress wields the power of the of the purse; however most federal agencies are part of the executive branch. The more efficiently these branches run the better the American people are served.
I am fully committed to helping every legal American citizen I can, especially married women like myself, obtain the documents required to vote. Every voice matters and I will ensure they are heard.
The government should have no role in education. It is not the governments job to shape and prepare the minds of our children; that privilege belongs to the parents. If the government operates corruptly, wastefully and biased that will infect all departments it manages. My daughter was picked up by the throat by her teacher in elementary school which is proof positive that a government that cannot efficiently run itself should not have dominion over our children.

I support reforming our immigration system by first securing our border and restoring the rule of law. The U.S. is a nation of laws, and our immigration system must reflect national security needs. We must secure our borders and stop illegal immigration. Once secure, we should transition to a merit-based system for individuals who respect our laws, share our values, and possess the skills to grow our economy. Countless residents in our community immigrated the right way. They filled out the paperwork, paid the fees, respected our laws, and waited their turn. It is unfair when a broken system allows others to bypass the rules.
In our coastal communities in South Florida, we understand that insurance markets have raised costs for homeowners, in part because of what they say the costs are for flooding and severe hurricane risks. Congress can act more strongly to expand insurance options to lower costs.

Any plans to deal with a global issue require a global solution. China, the world’s biggest polluter, must be held to the same international standards as America and the West. If not, then only America’s jobs, economy, and competitiveness suffer. As Mayor of Boca Raton, I ensured we invested in coastal resilience, upgraded infrastructure, and beach protection.
First, I will prioritize economic growth and fiscal responsibility. We must expand on the Working Families Tax Cuts by passing Tax Reform 2.0 to bring permanent tax relief to hardworking families and businesses. I will address the excessive regulations and federal overspending that are driving inflation, creating increasing deficits, and unsustainable debt that can weaken our global financial standing.

Second, I will prioritize national security and government accountability. I strongly support banning congressional stock trading, enacting congressional term limits, and stripping federal funding from universities that choose to accept foreign funding.
Freedom of speech is at the bedrock of our constitutional republic and is why America stands out. Freedom of speech means that the marketplace of ideas is open to all. In a world of increasing misinformation, our freedom requires the efforts of those who will speak the truth and work to spread accurate and helpful information.

The freedom of speech does not protect those who make death threats and actively incite violence. Last year, many like me in our district were offended to see university presidents dismiss threats and targeting of Jewish students as mere speech. Threats should have no place in public discourse.
Under our Constitution, both branches have distinct roles. The executive power is vested in the President, who ensures the executive branch faithfully executes the law. Congress has legislative oversight and is responsible for making laws to create agencies, define their authority, and determine appropriations.
The vast majority of Americans understand the vital importance of proof of citizenship and voter ID to protect our elections. Documentation is needed to open a bank account, board a plane, and perform countless other tasks. Voting must be no different. The SAVE America Act explicitly directs states to establish clear processes to accommodate legal name changes from marriage. In Congress, I will ensure states implement these verification processes efficiently so eligible Americans can easily verify their citizenship.
Education decisions are best made locally by parents, teachers, and school boards. By transferring DOE's roles to other departments and states, we can return authority and funding directly to our communities, ensure true educational freedom, and allow schools to focus more on academic excellence and less on bureaucratic compliance.

For higher education, the federal government has the power of the purse to demand accountability. I will fight to strip federal taxpayer dollars from any university that accepts money from foreign governments or allows the targeted harassment of students. We should not fund institutions that tolerate antisemitism, bigotry, and hate.
