As an attorney who has spent three decades fighting for the rights of everyday people, I view our immigration system through a lens of legal clarity, economic stability, and human dignity! I support a comprehensive, bipartisan approach to “Immigration Reform” centered on three “Core Reform Pillars”:
1. Streamlining and Modernizing Legal Channels- We must modernize our visa processing system to reduce backlogs.
2. Ensuring Fairness and Preventing Worker Exploitation-Establish a fair legal status for long-term residents who pass background checks, pay taxes, and live by the rules to protect the labor market.
3. Strengthening Border Security and Humanitarian Infrastructure-I support smart, technologically advanced border security measures alongside an increase in the number of immigration judges, asylum officers, and border personnel. This will ensure border safety and humane treatment of immigrants in accordance with the law.
As a candidate running to represent Southwest Florida, a region intimately familiar with the real-world impacts of severe weather, shifting coastal dynamics, and rising insurance premiums—this question offers me an opportunity to respond by pivoting away from ideological division and focus on practical risk management and economic resilience. My bipartisan response will focus primarily on fiscal responsibility, risk assessment, and market-driven solutions.
As an attorney with decades of experience taking a practical and fiscal perspective, shifting weather patterns and severe environmental events present a clear and measurable financial challenge to our national and local economies. This is reflected in our rising costs of property insurance, the financial strain on small businesses after major storms, and the need to fortify our public schools and infrastructure against flooding. We must approach this as an opportunity to lead the world in clean energy technology.
As an attorney of 35 years, my main focus has always been on protecting working families, ensuring safety, and stabilizing communities. My top two legislative priorities are: (1) Stabilizing Local Economies by Addressing the Insurance and Infrastructure Crisis - In SW Florida, our greatest financial threat isn't abstract. It is the skyrocketing cost of property and business insurance, coupled with the need to fortify our infrastructure against severe weather. I will work across the aisle to secure funding. (2) Protecting Working Families and Supporting Small Businesses - I know that a strong economy relies on a healthy, protected workforce and a thriving small business community. My second priority is to champion policies that reduce the financial burdens on middle-class families and small business owners. This means expanding access to affordable, high-quality healthcare, protecting the hard-earned benefits of our workforce, and cutting red tape for local businesses trying to grow.
I view Freedom of Speech as a constitutional mandate and the bedrock of American democracy! Fundamentally, it means protection and participation. First, from a legal perspective, it is a shield, ensuring that every citizen—regardless of political affiliation, background, or belief—has the absolute right to express their ideas, and hold their government accountable without fear of censorship or retaliation. Second, from a legislative perspective, it is an invitation to solve problems. True freedom of speech requires us to tolerate dissenting opinions, and to actively listen to them. Families care about economic stability, clean water, safe communities, and a strong future for our children. Freedom of speech means having the courage to speak truth to power and having humility to listen to other views. If elected to represent District 19, I will use this constitutional principle as a bridge, working collaboratively across the aisle to ensure every voice is represented in Washington.
My response to this question leads me to think through the lens of the Separation of Powers and the Checks and Balances built into the U.S. Constitution. "As an attorney who has practiced law in Florida for 35 years, as I think about the U.S. Constitution, the framework established by our Founders dictates that both Congress and the President share the right and the responsibility to oversee federal agencies. They both must operate within a system of checks and balances. Under Article II of the U.S. Constitution, the President serves as the head of the Executive Branch. The President directs the day-to-day management of federal agencies and is constitutionally mandated to ensure that our nation’s laws are 'faithfully executed. Under Article I of the U.S. Constitution, Congress holds the exclusive 'power and authority to create, fund, and define the scope of these agencies, conduct rigorous oversight, monitor efficiency, and prevent government waste.
Women are uniquely and disproportionately affected by documentary requirements due to name changes following marriage or divorce. To ensure no eligible voter is left behind, I will work across the aisle to implement practical, common-sense solutions:
· Streamlining Inter-Agency Cooperation: We must modernize and integrate state and federal vital statistics databases so agencies can verify citizenship or name-change histories electronically, reducing the burden on the individual.
· Cutting Bureaucratic Red Tape: I will advocate for fee waivers or low-cost, expedited pathways for citizens, especially seniors, low-income individuals, and women with complex marital name histories to secure certified copies of birth, marriage, or divorce certificates.
· Supporting Local Mobile Units: We should fund targeted community outreach and mobile document-retrieval clinics in Southwest Florida to assist constituents directly in their neighborhoods, ensuring every legal citizen has a right to vote.
I believe the federal government’s role in education should be that of a supportive partner—not a micromanager. Education is most effective when decisions are made closest to home by parents, teachers, and local school administrators. The federal framework should focus on empowering our local communities in Southwest Florida across three (3) tiers:
1.) Pre-School Level (Early Childhood): The federal government should focus on targeted, voluntary support for early childhood development, ensuring families have accessible baselines for early literacy and nutrition.
2.) · K-12 Level: At the K-12 level, the federal role must be limited to protecting civil rights, ensuring equal access for students with disabilities, and providing flexible grant funding.
3.) · Higher Education: As it relates to college and technical schools, the federal focus should pivot to workforce readiness, transparency, and affordability. If elected, I will work hard to push for funding.
I have a concept of a plan to reform the US immigration system. It is a big plan, a beautiful plan, a wonderful plan, a plan like you have never seen before. It will be good for the United States of America.
I have a concept of a plan to tackle climate change and the economic impacts thereof. It is a big plan, a beautiful plan, a wonderful plan, a plan like you have never seen before. It will be good for the United States of America.
My top two legislative priorities are to help my family. Mine is a family of modest means. I want to win this election so that I can get in on the inside information and pass it to my family so that they can make millions on the prediction market and secure their economic future. In addition, I want to make sure that my family and I are immune from Internal Revenue Service audit for the rest of our lives.

I have a concept of a plan to reform the US voting system. It is a big plan, a beautiful plan, a wonderful plan, a plan like you have never seen before. It will be good for the United States of America. You see, I ran for this seat in 2004, 2006 and 2008 when it was Florida 14. The election was rigged. It was rigged. My opponent did not even put his real name on the ballot.
If you think we are struggling now, go ahead and raise a whole generation of uneducated children and see where that gets us. I have a concept of a plan to reform the US education system. It is a big plan, a beautiful plan, a wonderful plan, a plan like you have never seen before. It will be good for the United States of America.
